BEIGE
PARIS
Inspired by the salons that made Plaine Monceau famous, Beige Paris reinvents the art of gathering. In a former telephone exchange dating from 1928, reimagined in collaboration with Maison Sarah Lavoine, today’s creators, influencers, and decision-makers come together.
salon of the 21st century
THE PLAINE MONCEAU: PARISIAN CHIC AT ITS BEST
Starting in 1870, the Plaine Monceau became the neighborhood where one had to live and be seen; it was a hub of activity for salon hostesses, fashionable artists, and businessmen who were art collectors. Dumas, Manet, Maupassant, and Sarah Bernhardt left their mark on the era, while Auguste Bartholdi created the Statue of Liberty in his studio there. Parc Monceau, a true social hub and source of inspiration, reflected the vibrant spirit of a Paris in full swing. A legacy that still gives the neighborhood its unique character and timeless refinement today: people dine there, entertain guests there, and make decisions there.

THE ORIGINS OF BEIGE
In the 1930s, Paul Guadet, an iconic architect for the PTT, designed the building at 23 Rue Médéric to house Paris’s first automated telephone exchange.
The Monceau-Carnot exchange was inaugurated on September 22, 1928, at 10 p.m. in the presence of Minister Henry Chéron. It then became a symbol of modernity, staffed by the “Demoiselles du téléphone.”
TRANSMISSION & MODERNITY
Nearly a century after its inauguration, the renovation was based on meticulous work to preserve and restore the original features: brick facades, wall mosaics, monumental arches, railings, and original cabochons were carefully restored, preserving the spirit of this iconic place.
From then to now, its essence remains intact: a place designed to foster connections—once technical, now human.
REFINEMENT & DISCRETION
Beige Paris reimagines the workplace through the aesthetics of luxury hotels and Parisian private clubs. Natural materials, custom-made furniture, iconic pieces to create a narrative rooted in the history of the venue. A setting designed for entertaining, socializing, and gathering, in the spirit of the grand salons that have made Plaine Monceau famous.
Beige’s design is the result of a meticulous collaboration between our teams and the expertise of Maison Sarah Lavoine.
